Rose V. Drummet - November 13, 2004

PONTIAC -- Rose V. Drummet, 91, a resident of Evenglow Lodge, Pontiac, died at 2:30 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 13, 2004) at ASTA Care Center, Pontiac.

Her memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Harris-Martin-Burke Funeral Home, Pontiac, the Rev. Gretchen Stinebaugh officiating. There will be no visitation. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.

The family suggests memorials be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Rose was born Sept. 17, 1913, at Rutland, a daughter of Emil and Augusta (Johnson) Gustafson. She married Walter G. Drummet on Dec. 14, 1937, in Wenona. He preceded her in death on Nov. 16, 1974.

Survivors include two sons, John Charles (Sue) Drummet, Long Point; and Kenneth Earl Drummet, Park City, Utah; two daughters, Barbara Jill (John Faddoul) Drummet, Pontiac; and Dorothy Ann (Glen) Weber, Knoxville, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Elizabeth and Matthew Drummet; Jennifer Clark; and Gregory Weber; and one great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by four sisters, four brothers and two granddaughters.

She was educated in Rutland schools and was a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Pontiac; the United Methodist Women; Wesley Class; Tuesday Bible Study Class; and Evenglow Guild. She had held many offices in her church and United Methodist Women and taught a Sunday school class for 50 years.
